Tamale City has named Mohammed Bashar as their new head coach, joining the Ghana Premier League side after serving as a coach for Nigerien clubs AS Sonidep and Sahel Sporting Club.
The CAF License A holder replaces Walid Mohammed and has been hired to lead the clubs quest in escaping relegation as they webbed-toes on 15th with 39 points on the summit.
Bashar has coached Ghanaian sides Rising Stars Football Academy, Sporting Mirren and Danbort FC. He Left Inter Allies FC in April 2022 after the demotion of the club to the 3rd tier league.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Coach Mohammed Bashar Ogba as our new head coach," section of a club statement read.
“Our new Gaffer arrives following stints in Niger where he managed 2 premiership clubs, AS Sonidep and Sahel Sporting Club.
The Citizens will face fellow Premier League newbies Samartex today (Saturday) at the Aliu Mahama Stadium at 15:00GMT (3:00PM).
