Hamza Mohammed, the head coach of Tamale City, believes that their 4-1 victory over Hearts of Oak in week 28 of the Ghana Premier League will serve as a major morale booster for their upcoming match against Kotoko in week 29.

The debutants will travel to face the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday in the domestic top-flight. At the post-match conference, the former Ghana international stressed the importance of recording a resounding win against Hearts of Oak to boost his team's morale before their Kotoko clash.

He also emphasized the need to take it one match at a time, recover well, plan thoroughly and face Kotoko on Sunday.

“It’s going to be a big morale booster playing another big club. My boys should be motivated enough, recording a big win against Hearts and taking on Asante Kotoko again. We have to take it one match at a time, we are going to recover and then plan well and face Kotoko on Sunday” he said.

Tamale City revived their chances of avoiding relegation with an impressive display against Hearts of Oak at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. They won 4-1, with Sampson Eduku scoring twice, and Mohammed Yahaya and Isaac Mensah also getting on the scoresheet.

This victory has propelled Tamale City three places clear of the relegation zone, giving them hope of staying in the top-flight.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak's lackluster performance left their fans disappointed, and Victor Aidoo's consolation goal was their only bright spot.
