Tanzanian side Namungo FC have made an approach to sign Emmanuel Asante and are in advanced talks with his club Bechem United, Kickgh.com can confirm.
The 27-year-old had a stellar saeson with the Hunters in the just ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and has been strongly linked with a move to the Southern Killers - whom he's ready to join and enjoy a terrific spell with ahead of the 2022/23 football season.
Asante has been considering his options for a number of months, amid interest from Asante Kotoko SC whom he featured for from 2014-2017 and some clubs in the GPL and even a team in Saudi Arabia, and Namungo's thought to want to close the deal for $50,000 and over $5000 in wages.
Negotiations between the club and Asante's representatives are underway, with sources telling Kickgh.com that the Southern Killers are prepared to break their wage structure to sign the Ghana international.
However, Namungo remain in the running to sign Asante, with an official announcement expected to be made in the coming days.
