Former Medeama SC defender Vincent Atinga Addae has bid a heartfelt farewell to the club, expressing his gratitude to teammates, fans, and the management as he departs following the expiration of his contract with the Ghanaian champions.

In a poignant message, the former Hearts of Oak center-back, who spent three years with the Tarkwa-based club, conveyed his deep appreciation. He acknowledged the incredible journey he had with Medeama and couldn't have asked for a better club, supporters, or management team.

"It's been an amazing journey, and I couldn't have asked for a better club, supporters, and management team by my side for all these years," Atinga wrote in a statement. "Thank you for the incredible memories and unwavering support."

Atinga, who returned to the Ghana Premier League in 2021 after playing abroad for Kuwaiti clubs Qadsia SC and Al Shabab, as well as Albanian club KF Tirana, played a pivotal role in leading Medeama SC to their historic first Ghana Premier League title during an exceptional campaign.

He capped off the season as the eighth-highest scorer overall and was the highest-scoring defender, netting an impressive 11 goals during the campaign.

Throughout his three-season tenure with Medeama, Atinga made 74 appearances in the Ghanaian top-flight, amassing a total of 21 goals. His remarkable performance earned him the prestigious 2022/23 Ghana Premier League Player of the Season award, a recognition he received at the inaugural GFA Awards held on Saturday.
