Asante Kotoko General Manager Nana Akwesi Gyambibi famously referred to as 'Coker', has finally clarified that, Dr. Kwame Kyei isn't the owner of Nations FC but rather the club belongs to his two children.

Nations FC is a newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side who competed and conquered Zone II of the national first division league last season.

Dr. Kwame Kyei was the Executive Board Chairman of giants Asante Kotoko but isn't anymore since the dissolution despite rumours in the local media of him coming back.

Many a football faithful in the country actually believe the new club are owned and controlled by Dr. Kwame Kyei and that is the main reason he's been relieved off his duties at Kototo.

In an interview on Akoma FM, Nana Gyambibi Coker who has been very close to the business mogul for the past years, has confirmed Nations FC isn't for Dr. Kwame Kyei but his Abrankese Stadium is adopted by the club because it belongs to his children.

"Let me use this occasion to clear this wrong impression on the actual owner of Nations Football Club, Nations FC is not for Dr Kyei but rather for his two children, the stadium (Dr Kyei Complex) is his personal property. The main reason he bought and renovated the stadium was to serve the interest of Kotoko."

Reports say ace journalist Frederick Acheampong could be named the new Kotoko Chief Executive Officer if Kwame Kyei is re-appointed to the new board.
