Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum believes his side's confidence will soar following their 2-0 victory over Aduana FC on Sunday in Dormaa during match week 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
Goals from Patrick Asiedu and Albert Amoah in each half secured the Porcupine Warriors their first win in five games, ending a challenging four-game losing streak.
Speaking after the much-needed victory, an optimistic Prosper Ogum stated, “I think we have started, we’ve won, and I believe the confidence of the boys will go up. Teams that always win are very confident and are always united."
He continued, “Players of teams that always win are very confident and always united. And once we’ve won, I’m sure the confidence will bounce back, and they will stick together more and work harder than before because this is just the beginning of better things to come.”
The win lifts Kotoko to seventh place on the league table with 18 points from 12 games, narrowing the gap to five points behind the league leaders. Ogum will now aim to build on this result as the team seeks to climb further up the standings.
