Accra Lions gaffer, Ibrahim Tanko has anxiously disclosed they lost to Nations FC due to the intimidation they went through and not because their opponents were the better side.
The Eagles redeemed themselves in the opening fixture of Ghana Premier League week 30 after narrowly defeating the Lions by a 1-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex earlier this afternoon.
The game was really an open one with both sides exhibiting some sumptuous football but Barimah Baah's 41st minute strike was enough to hand the homesters the precious three points
Speaking after the game, the former Black Stars assistant coach congratulated their opponents for the win but added they didn't deserve to lose but had to due to the intimidation they suffered throughout the game.
"The performance was good but the intimidation was too much. I don't want to say anything for now to get punished so I congratulate Nations."
"No, they weren't the better side. We played our normal game especially the opening five minutes but like I said we loose and we going to concentrate on the next game."
Accra Lions FC are still on the third position with 44 points and will host Bechem United in the next round of matches.
