Deputy Sports Minister, Vincent Oppong Asamoah, has stated that the comments made by his boss, Honourable Nii Lantey Vanderpuye over the ongoing league season as being unattractive is right as he is entitled to his own opinions.

The firebrand Sports Minister in an interview with an Accra-based radio station Asempa FM said that, the current league campaign has been unable to attract sponsorship due to its unattractive nature.

However, the Premier League Board (PLB) in a released statement vehemently denied the assertions made by the minister as they branded it as incorrect and unfounded

But his right-hand man thinks the claims made by his boss is accurate as he cannot be begrudge for his own opinoins.

"I see nothing wrong with the Minister's comments over the league campaign. If  he's a stakeholder and has seen something wrong; can't he express his concerns or opinions on that?," the tough-talking Minister questioned on Kumas-based radio station Ahoto FM.

"The Minister is entitled to his own opinions and I don't think people should just vent their anger on him just like myself. It's totally erronous to try and vilify him based on his comments for I think it's unfair. I perfectly agrees with Nii Lantey Vanderpuye because he has the right to voice his frustrations on something he thinks is out of place," he asserted.

There has been a frosty relationship between the Sports Minister and the Ghana FA since he assumed office.
