Kofi Kordzi has been declared surplus to requirement by Hearts of Oak but is most likely he will secure a new move very soon with three Ghanaian topflight sides already battling for his signature.
The 27 year old rejoined the 'Phobians' prior to the commencement of the just ended campaign on a two year deal after he had exhausted his short spell with Qatari side Muaither SC.
The stalwart striker was really on fire in the early stages of the season, having scored a spectacular free kick goal to mark his return in style against CI Kamsar in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
He soldiered on with his good scoring form and went on to notch 7 goals with an assist in 23 matches for Hearts of Oak last season.
However, Kodzi subsequently lost his position mysteriously and never redeemed his form, thereby finishing the season on a very lower note.
Hearts of Oak couple of weeks ago announced they wouldn't need his service for the new year but the player is currently wanted by Great Olympics, King Faisal FC and newly-promoted side Samartex FC.
Kofi Kordzi himself confirmed this development in an interview with Saddick Adam on the Floodlight Sports on Angel FM in Accra. He said;
'Hearts of Oak initially declared me as surplus but later told me they have realised teams are after me so they won't release but will rather sell me to raise some and that was when I requested for my four months unpaid salary."
"They told me Olympics, King Faisal and Samartex are all after me."
