Dr. Tony Aubyn, board chairman of Medeama SC has reiterated that the clubs main target this season is to defend the Ghana Premier League title.

The gold mining, oil and gas connoisseur insists they will not result in any frog-marching as they have the cold minds to hold on to their status as Ghanaian champions.

"Our target is to defend the Ghana Premier League," Dr. Aubynn said.

"We know it will not come on a silver platter, but we are poised to make history. Being at the top is not difficult, but maintaining it is challenging. We know the challenge ahead, and we are ready for it."

Medeama won the 2022-23 league title for the first time, bagging 60 points.

The Yellow and Mauves domestic topflight opening match against Accra Lions has been rescheduled due to their CAF Champions League game with Horoya AC.

Medeama will clash with the Guinean side in the first leg tie of the final eliminator of the continental club competition on Sunday, September 17 at the Cape Coast stadium.
