Aidoo, who signed a four-year contract with the Phobians in 2020 after his stint with FC Samartex, had one year remaining on his deal. However, both parties have reached a mutual agreement to part ways.
During his time with Hearts of Oak, the 24-year-old striker had limited opportunities to showcase his talent and was loaned out to Real Tamale United last season. However, he was recalled by the club for the second half of the season.
Throughout his three-year tenure with the Phobians, Aidoo made 53 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist.
Notably, he played a crucial role in helping Hearts of Oak end their 12-year trophy drought by winning the MTN FA Cup and the league title in the 2021/22 season, as well as the President's Cup this year.
Recent reports suggest that Aidoo's former club, Samartex, is interested in reinforcing their squad and has already held discussions with the player about a potential reunion.
