In a heartfelt farewell message, Ugandan international, Steven Dese Mukwala has bid adieu to Asante Kotoko after his contract expired.

The 26-year-old striker, who was the club's top scorer in the Ghana Premier League during his two-year stint, expressed his gratitude to everyone associated with the Porcupines, including the King, Asantehene.

In a video posted on his social media platform, Mukwala reflected on his time at the club, saying: "I am glad to have been part of a profound family. I will always cherish the memories and experiences I've had here."

Mukwala joined Asante Kotoko in 2022 and scored 25 goals in 59 Ghana Premier League appearances. Although his contract has expired, reports suggest that he will be joining Tanzanian giants Simba on a three-year deal worth over $50,000.

The forward's departure comes as a surprise to many, as he was expected to extend his contract with Kotoko. However, it seems that the opportunity to join Simba proved too enticing for him to resist.
