Hearts of Oak SC experienced a devastating loss against Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Phobians were convincingly defeated by the resilient Mauve and Yellow side, unable to withstand the pressure from the Premier League contenders on their home turf.

 
In the 17th minute, Derrick Fordjour opened the scoring for Medeama SC, displaying excellent finishing skills and putting the away team in the lead.
 
Just a minute past the half-hour mark, Hearts of Oak were awarded a penalty, which Ibrahim Salifu successfully converted, leveling the score at 1-1.
 
However, three minutes later, Vincent Atingah calmly converted another penalty, restoring Medeama's lead at the 35th-minute mark, making it 2-1.
 
Before the halftime break, former Danbort striker Jonathan Mensah Sowah added a third goal, extending Medeama's lead to 3-1.
 
Jonathan Sowah continued his impressive performance by scoring his second goal in the 85th minute, while Kwesi Donsu sealed the victory with a fifth goal, resulting in a final scoreline of 5-1.
