Asante Kotoko defender Nurudeen Yussif Mohammed has pleaded with the fans to keep rallying behind the team despite unimpressive performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupines have been in dismal form, picking just ten points from a possible 27 after nine games so far this season.

Kotoko occupy 14th position on the league standings. They have won 2, drawn 4, and lost 3 of those matches.

Nurudeen, who joined the Kumasi-based club before the start of the campaign, has been a standout performer despite the club’s unimpressive performance in the ongoing campaign.

The former Real Tamale united defender, who emerged as the Player of the Month for October, has urged the fans to rally behind the team despite their dismal form so far this season.

“I will plead with the fans to keep supporting us as they normally do because we cannot do anything without them. We accept every criticism and plead with them to rally behind us. We will try as much as possible to put a smile on their faces.”

Asante Kotoko is away to Samartex in the Ghana Premier League matchday 10 on Sunday.
