Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has called for unity among the club's supporters and stakeholders, urging them to support the team without resorting to insults.

Ouattara made the plea during his post-match press conference following Hearts' 2-0 victory over Bechem United, which marked their first win of the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

Heading into the game, the team was under intense pressure after consecutive losses to Basake Holy Stars and Kpando Heart of Lions. However, second-half goals from Ransford Mensah and Hamza Issah secured a crucial win for the Phobians.

“The fans, we are working for them. You can criticize, say everything you like but please, the insults… it’s not what we need. Unity, all the pieces of Hearts of Oak, all the structures coming together — when we are united, I believe we can get good results. Hearts of Oak has a big project,” Ouattara emphasized.

As of now, Hearts of Oak sits 10th in the 18-team league standings, with the coach hopeful that the victory will spark better form in the coming matches.
