Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya expresses disappointment with the team's lackluster performance in the Ghana Premier League, emphasizing the need for a swift turnaround.
The Porcupine Warriors have struggled since the resumption of the domestic top-flight campaign, enduring a four-match winless streak for the first time in 14 years, leading to a notable decline in form.
Currently occupying the 10th position on the league standings after six games in the second round, Kotoko has managed just one victory while suffering five defeats.
Addressing the club's media, the former King Faisal forward asserts that such poor results are unacceptable for a club of Kotoko's stature, highlighting the urgency for improvement.
“As a bid club, we don’t deserve such poor performance in the Ghana Premier League. We engaged ourselves on how we can turn things around as soon as possible” he told the club’s media.
With an upcoming fixture against the Hunters scheduled for Saturday at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, both teams are poised to vie for maximum points, with Kotoko aiming to reverse their recent fortunes on the pitch.
