Karela United defender Maxwell Agyemang has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness as they prepare to face Basake Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the Week 23 fixture, Agyemang stated that while the recent suspension of the league disrupted momentum, it also provided the team with valuable time to refine their preparations.
“The suspension of the league didn’t help us, but we are happy it is resuming this weekend. We have prepared well for the game against Basake Holy Stars. They are not a bad side and can give us a tough time, but we are ready to fight for all three points,” Agyemang said in an interview with Karela United’s media team.
The defender also highlighted the determination of his teammates and called on fans to rally behind the squad.
“All the players are doing their best, and we are confident of winning our upcoming game. We urge our fans to come in their numbers to support the team.”
The Ghana Premier League resumes this weekend after a four-week suspension, with all 18 teams eager to secure crucial points to improve their standings.
