Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has disclosed that, he knew the game against Bibiani GoldStars in March-week 24 was going to be difficult even though he rued missed chances and lack of impotency upfront as reasons behind their loss.

The ‘Phobians’ suffered a painful 2-1 away defeat at the Dun’s Park over the weekend with the champions scoring a heartbreaker at the death to seal the win.

The Miners went ahead with 15th minute opener through Samuel Acheampong and were able to hold on till half-time.

In the second half, Hearts of Oak bounced back on a good note and it took them nineteen minutes to level things up courtesy youngster Henry Kwaku Boateng.

With few minutes to wrap up the game, Augustine Boakye scored with a beautiful header to seal the win for GoldStars who have now enhanced their title defense hopes with just a point separating them and leaders Medeama SC

In a post-match interview, the former Black Stars assistant said; “We knew we were going to play against a transitional side, we knew that they had home power behind them [and] we were very much aware of whatever happened on the field,” Didi Dramani said.

“We knew they were very strong with their wide play and we were very much aware of it and so we are not happy with the goals we conceded and we knew we were going to have our moments and we did have our moment right from the first half into the second half but we still need to grow in our game.

“We need to be very clinical and decisive in decisive moments of the game”, he concluded

The Rainbow Club are winless in their last two matches and will host Basake Holy Stars next in the capital - a game they have to win at all cost to remain in the title race.
