Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has congratulated rivals Asante Kotoko following their 2-0 victory in Sunday’s Super Cup match.
The Phobians were defeated at the Baba Yara Stadium, with Steven Mukwala scoring both goals for the Porcupine Warriors in week 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
The loss leaves Hearts of Oak in a precarious position, just two points away from relegation.
“That’s the reality of the game,” Ouattara said in an interview with StarTimes. “When you can’t score, you can’t play well, no player is taking the chance, that’s what happens. Kotoko were the better side today, I congratulate them. We played badly once again.”
Hearts of Oak are currently 15th on the league table with 38 points. They will face Nations FC in another crucial match at home on matchday 32 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
