The Passioners head coach felt his side were in dire need of the win at the Aliu Mahama Stadium which saw them move out of the relegation column.
Shaibu Tanko has expressed his delight after seeing his "moxie" Karela side pick up a much needed victory over RTU on Thursday afternoon.
Karela moved up to fifteenth with 35 points in the Ghana Premier League standings after beating the Pride of the North 1-0 at their own backyard, thanks to a first-half (9th minute) goal from Evans Adomako.
The Karela boss told StarTimes post-match: "For the first time ever, I’m the happiest person for now. Definitely, they played and then we won the match.
"The battle continues relentlessly. I’m from here (tamale), coached them before and knows what is happening.
“As far as I am concerned, the first goal unsettles RTU, they get disorganized and try to redeem themselves because the fans will be on them and that alone will put more pressure on them from them not being able to play,” he added.
