The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has pleaded with the fans of the club for their uninspiring performance in the 2022/23 season's campaign.
Asante Kotoko have struggled for consistent results this term and they are on the verge of losing the Ghana Premier League title after clinching it last season.
The Porcupine Warriors were evicted from the FA Cup competition by Aduana Stars in the round of 16.
However, the club's CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah in an interview with Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM admitted the team's poor output and asked the supporters to forgive the management and playing board for the unimpressive performance.
“I will thank Kotoko fans for the support thus far, without them we wouldn’t have being where we are,” Nana Yaw Amponsah told Oyerepa FM
“We are sorry for the disappointment this season. Regardless of everything, we need their support because a friend in need is a friend in deed.
“We will plead with them to have patience with us and the players. It is painful” he added
Asante Kotoko will return to action next weekend to face relegated side Kotoku Royals in the Ghana Premier League match-week 31 fixture at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu.
