Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salim Adams has admitted the win against Berekum Chelsea will enhance the team psychology heading into their subsequent games but feels they should have scored more following the glorious opportunities that fell on their path.
The stalwart middleman made coach Aboubakar Ouattara's starting line up and was really outstanding in midfield having lasted the entire duration of the game.
Young sensation Hamza Issah opened the scoring account to mark his 12th of the campaign. Congolese international Linda Mtange doubled the lead in the second half before Ivorian import Kassim Cisse sealed the win with seven minutes to go.
Speaking in a post-match interview with StarTimes, the 21-year-old midfielder said they had numerous chances and should have scored more but couldn't utilize them. However, he confessed the win will definitely boost their confidence going forward.
"We were expecting to win by five goals and not three because we are determined. We know we are not in normal times so we were very determined,” he said during the post-match interview.
"This win boosts our morale and we are looking forward to the next game. We are taking it match after match."
Hearts of Oak after the win, have climbed up to the 11th spot on the league log with 38 points and will host Aduana Stars in a crunchy fixture in the next round of matches.
