Hohoe United forward William Oduro says the win against Asante Kotoko wasn’t just a fluke but rather came as a result of hard and determination.
The ‘Muje Gabah’ lads defied all odds to narrowly edge the giants by 1-0 last Sunday in a very fascinating match-day 13 clash at the Hohoe Stadium.
The game was a very balanced one but this William Oduro in question made the difference after full-time with a well-taken free kick goal in the 25th minute to ensure all three points stays in Hohoe.
In a recent interview, the enterprising attacker says the pedigree of Kotoko never startled them as they won because they fought really hard right from onset and with determination
“Our determination to win the match was high. We knew Kotoko was a big team, but we forgot about that. We decided to work hard because we knew it was going to be tough. The hard work pays, and that’s why we managed to secure the victory,” the Hohoe United attacker said.
Coach Rahim Bashiru Tijani and his lads have climbed up to the 9th position on the league log with 17 points and will travel to Berekum Chelsea next
