Vice President of Inter Allies FC, Delali Saneye, says they were punished unfairly and insists that there's no evidence of match manipulations to back the decision of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Inter Allies and Ashanti Gold were reported to have engaged in a match on convenience in their match day 38 fixture of 2020/21 season.

Ashanti Gold murdered Inter Allies by 7-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.

The Disciplinary Committee(DC) of the GFA found both Inter Allies and Ashanti Gold guilty of match manipulations, demoting them to Division Two.

Inter Allies appealed the decision of the DC, but the Appeals Committee held the ruling of the DC.

Inter Allies says they've accepted the ruling, but insists that it was based on assumptions rather than facts.

“Inter Allies Football Club disagrees with the Disciplinary Committee ruling on the case, and also disagrees with the reasoning of the Appeals Committee in affirming the decision of the Disciplinary Committee,” Club Vice President, Delali Senaye.

“... as established by prosecution in its investigative report on paragraph 11, Emmanuel Nii Amoah Gogo did not to any official(s) of Inter Allies football club about the approaches of a third party to manipulate the outcome of the match

“Why is Inter Allies Football Club being punished severely for something its officials know nothing about?

“This substantial evidence adduced by the investigative committee, surprisingly, was not mentioned by the Disciplinary Committee in its decision.

“As a law-abiding club committed to protecting the sanctity of football, we availed ourselves to all channels to help the Ghana Football Association uneath the truth with all details from our internal inquiry, but we were rather punished based on conjecture and assumptions,” he added.
