Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara believes his side were unlucky not to secure a result in their 1-0 defeat to Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League on Thursday.
The Ivorian coach oversaw a seventh loss in 24 league games as Razak Simpson's 64th-minute goal gave Nations victory.
Despite dominating spells of the game, the capital side failed to capitalise on their chances in a frustrating afternoon at the Tuba AstroTurf.
Speaking after the game, the Ivorian tactician expressed disappointment over the outcome.
“I told you before the match that Nations FC is a strong team. Today, unfortunately, we lost against a strong team with a good organisation. We did everything, but unfortunately, it’s the same disaster we have. The scoring possibility, we have a problem with that. We lost, and we accepted it. We didn’t do well. We missed all the chances,” coach Aboubakar Ouattara stated.
The defeat means Hearts of Oak have slipped down to the 6th position in the league standing on 37 points.
Hearts of Oak will look to bounce back against Medeama SC on Sunday, April 6, in their Matchweek 26 fixture as they continue their push for a top-four finish.
