Hearts of Oak coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani said they were lucky to even earn a point against Dreams FC as they were supposed to be punished by the reality of football on the back of how wasteful they were throughout the game.
The ‘Phobians’ despite playing on home soil failed to find the back of the net and got held by the ‘Still Believers’ to a pulsating draw in a thrilling match-day 19 clash at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Had it not been the heroics of goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, the story would have been very different by now having come with series of big saves to keep the hosts in the game.
However, the major talking point had to do with Dreams FC’s goal in the 53rd minute by Abdul Razak Salifu that got ruled out for an offside in a very controversial manner as player was clearly in an onside position before receiving the final pass.
Speaking to TV3 after the game, Didi was very disappointed with how wasteful his team were in the game and added with that they have no option than to be satisfied with the results
“When you fail to make the right decisions at the very key moments of the game you can be disappointed. The chances that we created, you don’t miss such chances at top level and when it happens like that you can only be lucky to comeback.”
Hearts of Oak are currently sitting in the fifth position on the league log with 32 points and will travel to Eleven Wonders next
