Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has outlined a clear strategy as his team prepares to host Berekum Chelsea this weekend.

Tanko emphasized that the key objective is straightforward: dominate the match and convert opportunities into goals. He insisted that the approach would remain consistent, despite the added significance of the fixture. Last season, Berekum Chelsea defeated Medeama in Tarkwa—a result the players have not forgotten.

With Medeama currently top of the Ghana Premier League on 23 points from 12 matches, Tanko wants his team to assert authority in front of their home supporters.

"The approach is the same as any other game. We are at home, and we want to control the match. We want to create more chances and score goals. They are the team that beat us here last year, so we will prepare well and aim to get the three points," Tanko told Medeama TV.

Saturday’s clash presents an opportunity for Medeama to protect their league lead and respond to last year’s setback with a commanding performance.
