Nations FC head coach, Samuel Frimpong Manso says hard and determination is their secret to getting that precious win over Medeama SC last Friday to set match-day 21 of the Ghana Premier League ablaze.
The Sky Blues came from behind to beat the league leaders by 2-1 in a very exciting game at the Dr. Kyei Sports Complex to halt their incredible 17-game unbeaten run and handed them only their second loss of the ongoing campaign.
Kingsley Braye opened the scoring account for Medeama in the early stages but two subsequent goals from Nations FC captain Razak Simpson all at half-time was enough to fuel the fightback.
In a post-match interview, the experienced tactician expressed ecstasy stating they really put in efforts for this win and added they will hope to improve in their away form which has been their major problem so far.
“You can see the atmosphere around the stadium. We needed this points and worked very hard for it, it wasn’t by chance. It’s a very nice win for us
“We worked on set pieces and even only yesterday and we made good use of that. We need to improve our away performance and this win will give us the motivation to do so.”
Nations FC after the win have climbed to to the eighth position in the table with 27 points. They will face Swedru All Blacks in round 16 of the FA Cup next.
