FC Samartex skipper, Emmanuel Keyekeh has stated they were never surprised after winning the league and are looking forward to improve going forward in order to have a better Africa campaign.

The Timber Giants were officially crowned champions of Ghana over the weekend at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex- where they defeated Accra Lions by 2-0 in the final round of matches.

The Samreboi-based side finished the season with 61 points; winning nineteen matches, drew four and suffered eleven loses- having won the title in only their second season in the topflight.

Reacting to the success, the lanky midfielder revealed their hard work to winning the league started from preseason and are hoping to deliver a fantastic campaign in the continental club competition next season.

"We are not surprised at all with the Premier League victory. We know the work put into it during pre-season and even training. So we know, but this is not a surprise."

"The target is to keep winning games and that’s what we will do. We will keep working hard and hope the fans will support us as much as they did this season to deliver in Africa and Ghana,”

Samartex FC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League in the 2024/25 football season.
