Asante Kotoko defender Patrick Asiedu has revealed that the players have held discussions ahead of Saturday’s clash with Swedru All Blacks, with the team determined to avoid a repeat of last season’s results.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered back-to-back defeats against the Swedru-based side last season, and Asiedu says the players are ready to fight for victory when they meet again at the Swedru Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, the experienced left-back says they are very motivated this time to avoid defeat against the White and Blacks
"We lost to them back to back last season so we the players have spoken and are more determined this time. We are not going to let what happened last season repeat itself; we are going all out for the three maximum points at Swedru," he said.
The ‘Kum Apem’ lads head into the round 6 fixture after recording a 1-0 win away to Karela United, with Isaac Opoku Agyemang scoring the decisive goal.
The game is slated for 15:00GMT (3:00pm) at the Swedru Sports Stadium
