Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nations Football Club Alex Twumasi insists the Premier League title race is not over despite his side taking a 1-0 beating at Karela United last weekend.
The Premier League toddlers were simply a match for Abukari Damba's side. but, Karela outplayed and outsmarted them to secure all three points.
Nations are on 45 points, seven points behind table toppers Samartex. They haven't recorded a win in their last five games, losing twice and drawing three.
However, Twumasi said there are still five games to go, and anything can happen between now and till the end of the season.
Alex Twumasi said (via Kessben FM): “We are not giving up on the Ghana Premier League title. We have five games to end the season and considering the point gap between us and the league leaders Samartex, anything is possible. So we are not going to give up. We will fight till the end.
“We know the opportunity will come for us. We’ve gone five games without a win which can also happen to Samartex, so we will keep pushing."
Furthermore, the club chief admitted that inexperience is playing a merry-go-round with their output on the field of play.
"I think inexperience is costing us."
