Albert Amoah was the hero for Asante Kotoko last week with a very crucial goal to snatch all three for them at Berekum and has stated this will serve as a huge motivation for them heading into subsequent assignments.

The Porcupine Warriors got off on a higher note with a narrow 0-1 win in definitely one of the most exciting games that was witnessed over the weekend in matchday 1 clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season. 

The game is a very open one with both teams taking up at each other in an even exchange but Albert Amoah’s lone goal in the 69th minute conjured the magic having given Kotoko their first ever away win at Chelsea after fifteen years.

Talking after the game, the lethal striker admitted it was a tough game and added the win at the fortress has now gotten them fully motivated and prepared going forward.

“It feels great. We knew it will be a difficult game but we were very determined to win. This will ginger us heading into our subsequent games.

Asante Kotoko will now shift their attention to the CAF Confederation Cup as they prepare to take on Nigerian side Kwara United in the first leg of the first preliminary round at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
