Public Relations Officer of Ghana Premier League side Real Tamale United, Abdul Mohammed has disclosed that, they have asked their head coach Abdul Mumin Abdulai to step aside from the team's training for now for his own safety.
The 'Pride of the North' suffered their sixth defeat since the commencement of the second round after losing 1-2 at home to Nsoatreman FC over the weekend at the Naa Sheriga Sports Center.
However, majority of the supporters per reports, feel the game was manipulated since they just can't fathom why they lost on home soil and have accused their head coach of having a hand in it, leaving them very agitated.
In an interview on Kumasi-based Akoma FM, the club's Spokesperson Abdul Mohammed confirmed the issue and added they have asked the coach to stay aside for now for safety reasons until the issue is resolved since anything could happen from now henceforth.
"For his safety, we have asked the head coach to abstain from training today. The supporters believe that last Sunday's loss to Nsoatreman was manipulated."
Real Tamale United have been very abysmal and have performed below par in the second phase having won only two matches so far, with two draws and six defeats.
The Blues are currently lying at the foot of the league table with 25 points and won't be in action this weekend following the rescheduling of their game against Ghana's CAF Confederations Cup representatives- Dreams FC.
