The assistant gaffer of the struggling elite side has urged his charges to start utilising their scoring opportunities in their game outings so as to win more matches in this current campaign
Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya has expressed concern about his side's profligacy in front of goal given their struggles in this ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The former New Edubiase United manager and his troops are going through a turbulent season in the first-half of the campaign as they currently languish in 17th place on the league log with 13 points from 14 matches so far this term.
Following a slim 1-0 victory over Eleven Wonders on Sunday, the former Ghana international is now looking forward to working on their goal scoring in order to win more games given their determination to improve on their performance in the second half of the season.
''We shall commend the players for their good performance in the last game,'' Yahaya told Lawson FM in an interview as monitored by Kickgh.''They've now realised the level at which the team is declining and l think they had discussions among themselves and have decided to determined in terms of uplifting their performance.''
He added: ''Given their performance especially during the first half, they played a very good football, but the only thing that we must work on it is the scoring. l think we shall surely work on that this week as the scoring aspect of the game matters most. And by so doing; we'll be able to score goals by utilising those chances in order to win more of our games.
Bechem United will welcome league rivals Swedru All Blacks at the Nana Gyeabour's Park for the next round of league fixtures on Saturday.
