South African Premier League side Kaizer Chiefs have announced the club's season plan, confirming not to extend the contract of striker Ranga Chivaviro once his contract expires in the next couple of weeks.

The forward was signed from Marumo Gallants at the beginning of the 2023/24 season after scoring 17 goals in 30 games he had played in the previous campaign, across all competitions, as his team went on to reach the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.

“Kaizer Chiefs will not be extending striker Ranga Chivaviro's contract when it expires at the end of the month,” the club confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

“The Limpopo-born attacker joined Amakhosi from Marumo Gallants in the 2023/24 season on a two-year deal. He scored nine goals and provided one assist in 45 official matches wearing Chiefs colours over two seasons "

“We thank Ranga for his positive contribution to the team and wish him all the best in his future exploits.”

During his stay at the club, Chivaviro netted only nine goals in 45 matches for Kaizer Chiefs, making his stint a difficult after an incredible breakthrough in the PSL two seasons ago with Marumo Gallants.
