The Black Stars will seek nothing but qualification when they battle it out with Uruguay in their final group game on Friday, December 2, at the Al Janoub Stadium.

Ghana suffered a group stage elimination in their last appearance at the Mundial and currently stays as their worse performance in the competition- an appaling campaign they wouldn't want to replicate this time around.

It hasn't been a good tournament for the Sky Blues so far but still have a chance of cruising into the knockout- a task they will hope to fulfill heading into this clash and nothing else.

However, Ghana will head into the game seeking for a revenge from what happened in their first meeting at the World Cup which was in 2010, whereas Uruguay will aim at nothing but a repeat.

Luis Suarez handled a goal-bound header from Dominic Adiyah just on the line to deny Ghana the second in the extra time- an incident the latter failed to apologize when asked to do so in the pre-match presser, stating he's already been punished for that.

After succumbing to a very painful 3-2 defeat to Portugal in their opening game, the four time African champions earned a hard-fought win over South Korea last Monday and will need to avoid a defeat today to advance to the next round, pending the results of the other fixture.

On the opposition end, the two time world champions got held in their first game before losing 2-0 to current group leaders Portugal, kind courtesy a brace from Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
