Wahbi Khazri's audacious second half strike powers Tunisia to a slim 1-0 win over France but will still be eliminated from the tourney following the outcome of the game between Australia and Denmark. 

Tunisia begun on a very strong note with series of attacks in search for the opener in the early stages of the game but couldn't burry the opportunities that fell their way.

Wajdi Kechrida sent in a beautiful cross from the right which was aimed at two players at far post but was cleared into safety by Raphael Varane.
 
The Carthage Eagles jumped into the lead on the 7th minute after center-back Nader Ghandri tapped acrobatically into the net from Maaloul's free kick but was ruled out for offside.
 
Les Blues, with one of their dangerous goal attempts, Randai Kolo Muani created a goal scoring opportunity by setting up Kingsley Coeman at a very good position but his effort was wide. 
 
Tunisia were more purposeful in the first phase of the game whiles France dominated in terms of possession as it ended goalless at half time.
 
Back from recess, Jalel Kadri's men got back and took it from where they ended, mounting so much pressure on France in search for the opener 
 
Tunisia finally got the opening goal on the 57th minute through Wahbi Khazri who made a great serging run to plot into the bottom right corner beyond the reach of Mandanda.
 
France then took over, and as usual dominated the game, having loved to keep more of the ball but of course with no any dangerous incursions.
 
Substitutions made by Didier Deschamps to introduce Mbappe, Griezmann and Dembele caused so much trouble for their opponents who after jumping into the lead resulted into preserving their lead by sitting deep in defence. 
 
Ousmane Dembele first incursion in the game nearly caused a goal after launching a curler from outside the box but was parried away by goalkeeper Aymen Dahmen.
 
Kylian Mbappe came so close to getting France on level on the 88th minute but his shot was once again dealt with by the Tunisian goalie.
 
Griezmann looked like getting the equaliser on the 90+8 minutes but was ruled out for offside after VAR checks 
 
It ended 1-0 for the Carthage Eagles but still had to bow out of the competition following Australia's win over Denmark.
