France and Morocco will cross swords at the Al Bayt Stadium on Wednesday night in the second semi final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
This tie's winner cruise into the final and will face Argentina- who marmalized Croatia in the first semi final last night at the Lusail iconic stadium.
Les Blues, exhibited a spirited performance to edge out England in the quarters, in a very tough encounter thanks to Olivier Giroud's towering headed-winner.
The game saw lots of excitement which will never be easily forgotten by the football world, notably Harry Kane's high penalty miss- which could have earned the Three Lions leveller at some point and to probably send the game into extra time.
Meanwhile, the Atlas Lions made history by becoming the first African nation to reach the semi final, after nipping on Youssef En-Nesyri's first half header to narrowly beat Portugal- a goal which has made the Sevilla forward his country's all time top scorer at the World Cup.
The win was really crucial to the African continent as a whole, who have now had their slots for the 2026 World Cup increased to eleven from nine.
