The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw was successfully conducted in Washington DC with some interesting and exciting matches coming up in a tournament that will be staged in USA, Canada and Mexico.
The draw held at the John F. Kennedy center was graced by lots of legends and dignitaries with US President Donald being the main guest and was presented with the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize
The draw was mainly conducted by England and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand and co-conductor was Samantha Johnson.
The three host nations Mexico, Canada and USA have been placed in Group A, B and D respectively with relatively manageable oppositions that can see them advance to the knockout round.
Reigning champions Argentina wouldn’t want wait for another 36 years and will start their title defense in Group J alongside Algeria, Austria and Jordan
Ghana, who will be making their fifth appearance at the Mundial will also be housed in Group L together with England, Croatia and Panama.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11, to July 19, 2026.
