Lionel Messi finally had his hands gripped to the World Cup trophy after netting a brace in the final and also scored his penalty to spurs his country to a 4-2 shootouts win; after the regulation and extra time had recorded a six-goal thriller.
The Albiceleste finished as the best rated country in Qatar, followed by runners up France. Croatia clinched bronze with Morocco finishing as the fourth best.
Ghana despite not making it out of the group phase has been ranked as the 24th best at the Mundial, out of the total 32 nations present.
The Black Stars finished at the foot of Group H, with three points- making them the worse performing African country in this year's edition.
The next FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by three countries; USA, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
