Bayern Munich conceded the fastest goal in Bundesliga history before Harry Kane provided two assists to help salvage a 2-2 draw at Augsburg on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer shanked a pass into the path of Robin Fellhauer, who made no mistake in slotting into an empty net just 8.37 seconds into the match.
It eclipsed the previous record of nine seconds, which was jointly held by Karim Bellarabi and Kevin Volland, who scored for Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons respectively.
Bayern equalised shortly after the break through Ismael Saibari, but Augsburg regained the lead through Rodrigo Ribeiro just after the hour.
Nathaniel Brown ensured Bayern secured a point when he finished clinically from close range after impressive play by Kane.
The result meant Bayern were unable to leapfrog leaders Borussia Dortmund, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Werder Bremen on Friday.
Vincent Kompany's side made a disastrous start when winger Luis Diaz played the ball back to Neuer straight from kick-off. After a heavy touch, Neuer tried to chip the ball to a team-mate but was charged down by Fellhauer.
The Augsburg midfielder then raced towards goal before sliding the ball into the unguarded net from inside the box.
Bayern thought they had equalised in spectacular fashion after the break through a Diaz scissor-kick, only for the video assistant referee to determine that Josip Stanisic had been offside from a free-kick in the build-up.
The Bundesliga champions did restore parity in the 55th minute after England captain Kane cleverly slid a ball into the box for Saibari, who adjusted his position before firing a low shot into the corner of the net.
Augsburg regained the lead nine minutes later when Neuer parried a shot from Calvin Brackelmann and Ribeiro guided the ball home at the back post.
Bayern twice put the ball beyond Augsburg goalkeeper Finn Dahmen – Serge Gnabry tapping in and Brackelmann putting through his own net – only for both goals to be ruled out for offside.
Kane was instrumental in Bayern's equaliser in the 80th minute, playing a neat one-two before crossing for Brown to tap in from inside the six-yard box.
There was still time for Gnabry to hit the woodwork twice and for Kane to have a shot cleared off the line as Bayern peppered the home side's goal, only for Augsburg to hold on.
Dortmund are currently top of the Bundesliga on 13 points - two ahead of Bayern on 11 - after five matches.
