Spanish giants, Real Madrid have released a statement confirming they have signed their former striker, Alvaro Morata from Juventus.

The striker had been in Turin for two seasons after a complex €20m deal, but the Spaniards have a clause to sign him back for €30m.

“Real Madrid C. F. have informed Juventus FC of their decision to salvage the federative rights on the player Álvaro Morata, who will join up with the first team for pre-season training under the command of Zinedine Zidane.”

It ends at least one part of this transfer saga, because it remains to be seen whether Morata will stay at Real Madrid next term or be sold on at a profit.

There are reports Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are prepared to pay up to €50m for the Spain international.
