Athletic Bilbao young forward Nico Williams is optimistic of making Spain final squad list for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The budding talented forward made his debut for the Spanish national team in the UEFA Nations League match against Switzerland.
The 20-year-old came off the bench on the 63rd minute in Spain 2-1 defeat to Switzerland in UEFA Nations League.
Williams said that it is the dream of every player to play at the World Cup and is hopeful it will happen to him.
“Going to the World Cup would be the straw that breaks the camel's back, I'd be super happy, it's every kid's dream and hopefully that situation can happen” Williams said in an interview.
Meanwhile, his senior brother, Inaki Williams has switched his international allegiance to play for Ghana at the senior level.
Inaki also made his debut for the Black Stars of Ghana in their 3-0 loss to Brazil in a Pre-World Cup friendly last week.
