The Desert Diamond Arena is set to host a historic junior lightweight bout between Oscar Valdez and Liam Wilson on March 29, 2024.
World-leading Boxing promotion company, Top Rank Inc has announced that Mexican warrior Oscar Valdez will face Australian former world title challenger Liam Wilson in a special 10-round junior lightweight, making his seventh appearance in the Grand Canyon State.
The two boxers lost to Mexican boxer Emmanuel Navarrete last year and this bout has been dubbed as a redemption fight.
Oscar Valdez has been absent from the ring for the six months after Navarrete's setback while Liam Wilson returns to the city of Glendale, Arizona for the first time after a loss to the Mexican in February last year.
Top Rank chairman Bob Arum said: “The Arizona fight fans are passionate and knowledgeable, and we have an incredible event in store at Desert Diamond Arena,”

The bout is scheduled to take place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona on Friday, March 29, 2024.
