The 23-year-old right-back has been involved in another controversial incident, just months after insulting his team-mates and coach in a live Periscope chat. Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier was placed in police custody following
an incident outside a nightclub but has since been released.
Europe 1 report that the right-back, 23, was taken into custody a little after 06:00 CET on Monday after an incident in the Champs-Elysees quarter of Paris.
It is alleged that the Ivory Coast international was part of a group that insulted officers patrolling the area, with the PSG man said to have made wounding remarks towards the police.
Aurier was held in a police station in the 8th arrondissement of Paris for several hours before being released.
A source told AFP the defender had "insulted and struck a police officer".
