Former Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has backed his old club to win this season’s UEFA Champions League as they gear up for a high-stakes semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday night at the Allianz Arena.

The Serie A giants, who lost the final to Manchester City in 2023, are aiming to return to the summit of European football. Muntari, a member of Inter’s historic 2010 Champions League-winning squad under José Mourinho, believes his former team has the maturity and depth to go all the way.

“I think Inter Milan are building up their team,” Muntari told 3Sports. “They are very strong. Let’s see. They are more experienced now, mature. Inter Milan has a really strong and well-experienced team.”

Inter will face a PSG side still chasing their first-ever Champions League title. The French club, who reached the final in 2021, are hoping to finally break their European curse.

Kick-off for the highly anticipated encounter is set for 19:00 GMT.
