The Black Galaxies will kickoff their campaign in the 2022 African Nations Championship on Sunday afternoon when they lock horns with Madagascar at Stade Chahid Hamlaoui in Constantine.

The competition started last Friday with host nation Algeria picking a narrow win over Libya in the opening game thanks to Aimen Mahious second half penalty.

Ghana have been off in this competition in the last three editions and made the final in their last appearance in 2014 in South Africa against Libya, marking their second final appearance after making that mark in the first edition in 2009 in Cote D'Ivoire.

Coach Annor Walker and his men started everything from the scratch and edged out Benin in the first round of the qualifiers before wrapping up with a penalty shootouts victory over sworn rivals Nigeria to sail through.

The two time finalists have been preparing immensely towards the competition having engaged in series of high profile friendlies to get themselves adequately prepared for the competition.
