Interim head coach of Cote D'Ivoire, Emerse Faé has disclosed their aim heading into the final is nothing but to win the trophy at the expense of their supporters but admitted it won't be an easy task.

Cote D'Ivoire will lock horns with Nigeria tonight in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpé.

The 'Elephants' will seek nothing but a revenge coming into this epic clash having lost to them narrowly in the group stage.

The Oranges despite winning their opening game and really struggled in the first round having progressed to the knockout as one of the third best nations.

Surprisingly, they turned into giant killers after sailing through, evicting reigning champions Senegal, Mali and DR Congo en route to the final.

Speaking in a pre-match presser, the ex- Ivorian national team midfielder has confessed it won't be an easy task but is still setting sights on achieving the 'host and win'

"Tomorrow presents a tremendous opportunity for us to retain the trophy on home ground. We understand the challenges of winning a tournament you host. Making it to the final, we now stand at the brink of achieving this feat and simultaneously adorning the orange jersey of Côte d'Ivoire with a third star," affirmed the coach."
