Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been excluded from the Black Stars of Ghana squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic (CAR) due to injury.
The West African nation will be battling it out with CAR on September 7 in the final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations group E at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Head Coach, Chris Hughton on Saturday afternoon announced his 25-man squad list for the fixture where Partey was among the notable absentees.
According to the Ghana FA, statement, Arsenal confirmed his unavailability after the player picked up an injury in training and could be on the sidelines for a while, however the Black Stars medical teams is monitoring the situation.
