The Wild Beasts have touched down in the West African nation for the crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana on September 7.

 
Central African Republic (CAR) arrived in Accra on Saturday, September 2, 2023 ahead of the final group E game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against the Black Stars of Ghana.
 
A contingent that consist of home-based players and the technical team led by head coach Raoul Savoy landed at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
 
They are currently lodging at Oak Plaza Hotel at East Airport, Accra and will spend a few days in nation's capital before leaving for Kumasi, where the match will take place.
 
The foreign-based players of Central African Republic will join the team in Accra from their respective bases after this weekend's league matches.
 
Meanwhile, Ghana coach Chris Hughton also announced a 25-man squad list which includes club-less captain Andre Ayew, Baba Rahman, Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Kudus Mohammed, Ernest Nuamah and others.
 
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, who is a notable figure in the team couldn't make the squad due to injury same as Daniel Amartey, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jojo Wollacott, Majeed Ashimeru and Benjamin Tetteh.
 
Ghana currently occupies the top spot of Group E with nine (9) points, holding a one-point advantage over second-placed Angola and two points ahead of the third-placed Central African Republic.
 
The Black Stars need just a point from the last game against Central African Republic to secure qualification for next year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cote d'Ivoire.
 
A qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will be the 24th appearance at the tourney for Ghana.
